GARDEN OF EATIN'

November, 2009 was the month we saw our garden taking shape, with a new fence, water supply and raised beds laid out.

Our work party on Saturday, February 6, was a lot of fun and a little wet. Our mulch and compost piles aren't spread out yet, but our community garden is very close to being open for business.

Garden plots are now available for rent. The 4 foot by 12 foot plots are $20.00 per year. For more information, please contact Dennis Ohligschlager at 442-1035.

There was a great turnout for our Planting Day Party on April 17, 2010; something for all ages.

CALVARY LUTHERAN CHURCH WOMEN

Following the Advent Luncheon fundraiser, with the $795.22 raised, we purchased:

2 Water Buffalo @ $250 = $500; 1 Lama @ $150 = $150; 1 Goat @ $120 + $120; 1 Flock of Chickens @ $20 = $20. The grand total was $790.00 and the remaining $5.22 remains in the treasury for the next event.
